Charlie came to help so we put him in a suitable small section of the turntable to clean and paint

Alessandra from English Heritage came to help so she was also given a section of the turntable to clean and paint

Bob and Martyn did some measuring and tried to work out thicknesses of metal

George Waite came along and demonstrated his grandfather's rivet hammer, and talked about his experiences as a riveter. We all learnt many tricks of the trade. He also discussed how the bridge would have been made. A magical time.
