Brunel Swivel Bridge Project Photos August 2026

We welcomed a new volunteer, Roger, who had the privilege of fitting our two new signs with Richard Tyers, suitable harnessed and buoyancy jacketed for work alongside the dock.

Julian Beel trial-fitted his superbly-made new copper pointer to the old tide gauge, whilst Howard and Pete finally fitted new timbers to Brunel's Lock capstan.

Geoff and Charlie propped decayed timberwork on the hut structure, and eased the madoors, whilst Chris, Ian and John expertly removed graffiti, painted, and strimmed the rampant weeds around the Bridge.

The site now looks very presentable. THANKS CHAPS.
